Since 1992, HELP INC. (Health Education Learning Resources Projects) started its humanitarian activities

in Vaudreuil Croix des Bouquets, Mainly in the Health Sector with the support of PLAN-HAITI, an 

international organization which has completely supported  HELP  at its initial steps, allowing the 

strengthening (Reinforcement) of the institution and the consolidation of its community bases. This 

relationship has permitted HELP to touch and help the most underprivileged social groups of its targeted  

area of about 40,000 inhabitants.

Despite the  social and political context often unfavorable, the following results can attest to the fundamental 

action of PLAN-HAITI and the positive impact of HELP in the communities in the health sector and

community development:

INPUT

Financing and donation of essential medicine

LOGISTIC

	Donation of vehicle to facilitate community activities and field activities.
	Financial support in fuel (Gas)

EQUIPMENT

	Donation of computers
	Donation of photocopy machine

INFRASTRUCTURE

	Physical Rehabilitation of the hospital center
	Renovation and modernization of the nutritional center
	Rehabilitation of the dental clinic
	Construction of a new pediatric hospital center
	Institutional reinforcement from PLAN-HAITI

Since 1999, HELP receives support from PLAN-HAITI at 75% for its expenditures necessary to the

implementation of its fixed points(5). Since 1999, The internal revenues of HELP support the daily 

operations for a modest fees, hence giving access to the curative care of the marginalized population

in agreement with the vision and mission of the Institution. Currently, while HELP is on the right 

track to become self-sufficient in providing primary and secondary health care, the financial

support Of PLAN-HAITI has progressively decreased to focus on preventive care (75% of support). 

During the past 14 years of partnership with PLAN-HAITI, HELP has been able to achieve the 

following objectives:

	190,000 General consultations (Out Patient Clinic and Fixed points)
	55,000 pediatric consultations
	Prevention and Treatment of 30,000 cases of ARI
	10,000 cases treated of Gastro-enteritis and diarrhea
	8,000 cases of STD'S
	250 cases of HIV (clinically diagnosed)
	250,000 hot meals distributed to children and pregnant women including
	malnourished children and anemic women.
	10,000 new born babies at the Maternity
	5,000 vaccinated children.

The Partnership PLAN-HAITI - HELP has been an impetus to all the NGOS,  especially to HELP INC. 

Plan-Haiti has been pivotal into the realization of H.E.L.P.s' objectives to become self-sufficient. 

This is an innovating model of partnership in regards to the vision and community development 

of each institution.
